Lacrosse can be an expensive sport. We at WCAA Lacrosse would like to make it a little easier for beginners to start playing the fastest game on two feet.
WCAA is pleased to announce that it has received the First Stick Grant from US Lacrosse. On January 1, 2015, equipment will ship to Coach Eric Rosario for use in the 2015 Warrior season. This means WCAA will be able to field an entire U7 team this year! All equipment (except cleats and mouth guards) will be provided to the first 24 players on this team only. Parents with children interested in trying out lacrosse should come to our free beginner's clinic series. We will start you child off with the fundamentals of lacrosse using our US Lacrosse sponsored Soft Stick equipment. Free clinics will begin on October 4th and run until November 15th.
If your child enjoys the beginner's clinic series and wants to play in competitive games, the first 24 parents that register their child to play for the U7 warriors will not have to purchase helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads or gloves for their child. WCAA will loan out all of the equipment with a signed return agreement from the parent or guardian of the child. This will substantially decrease the initial output of hard earned funds from the parents of players on the U7 team.
If you are interested in starting your child in lacrosse we recommend you bring you child to the free beginner's clinic series. We will teach them the fundamentals and as they develop, move them into equipment for the Warrior season starting in January. This is a limited opportunity, please contact Coach Eric Rosario as soon as possible at email@example.com. We will be filling the first 24 roster spots on a first come first serve basis.
