Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions

The Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions presented by Pasco County is the only TRUE national championship in the sport of lacrosse. Teams must earn a bid to compete by virtue of their play at one of the series of qualifying tournaments (listed here).





The fees below cover all three days of the tournament.  

**We highly recommend purchasing a pre-paid parking pass to avoid lines when you arrive.

Warriors: January - April

Warriors recreational lacrosse program provides a lacrosse learning experience for beginner and returning youth players K-8th grade. Our team of dedicated coaches help build a foundational skill set, foster team work, and teach sportsmanship while having fun. The Warriors showcase their lacrosse skills by competing against other local teams from January through April.

Pasco Lions

Pasco Lions: May – Dec

The Pasco Lions is our local competitive lacrosse program that provides team play for boys & girls, youth through high school and attends local and out of state tournaments (Summer season is May-August). Teams typically practice twice a week and receive comprehensive lacrosse conditioning and instruction. The  Summer season, teams will attend tournaments around the south east. Practices and home games will be held at Wesley Chapel District Park (7727 Boyette Road). Uniforms will be provided. Teams will be capped at 25 players.

High School Teams - PCLA

WCAA is Proud to see the sport of lacrosse growing in our community.

Beginning with the spring 2017 season, athletes will now have the opportunity to play lacrosse as a school sport in several Pasco County Public High Schools.

PCLA Stands for "Pasco County Lacrosse Alliance" and is the organization working with Pasco County Public Schools to manage the transition of high school lacrosse from a club sport to an FHSAA-sanctioned sport.

WCAA Tournaments

WCAA is pleased to host several tournaments every year at our Wesley Chapel District Park.

  • September 24-25, 2016 I Lacrosse My Heart Tournament is a charity lacrosse event hosted by WCAA Lacrosse created to educate players about heart health and sudden cardiac awareness on the playing field. Proceeds benefit the Parent Heart Watch. This year's charity lacrosse collegiate scrimmage & clinic at Wesley Chapel District Park promises to be another fantastic event! Contact: Naomi Friedrich
  • November 19-20, 2016: Derek Pieper Memorial Cup
    the Derek Pieper Memorial Cup lacrosse tournament is for boys teams in the U-9 through High School age groups and Girls Teams in the Middle school and High school age groups. The tournament typically attracts 80-plus teams. This is a Dick's Sporting goods Tournament of Champions qualifying event.

Free Lacrosse Clinic: Boys and Girls

FREE Boys and Girls Lacrosse Clinics!

  • Equipment provided for new players

Come play the fastest game on two feet! 

Specially designed for boys and girls with no or limited experience in the sport, or for anyone looking for exposure to the basic techniques of youth lacrosse. 

Experienced players, will receive instruction to refine their technique.

The clinics provide a safe and athlete-centered environment that emphasizes positive growth and sportsmanship in the sport of lacrosse.

This session will be 7 weeks of one full hour of fun every Tuesday starting September 13th.
A mixture of learn to play lacrosse and scrimmage while wearing your customized pinnie with one of the Marvel superheros on the front, and custom numbers on back.
Space is limited.   We can not hold spots for players so register early!!!
When:       The session will run from Sept 13, every Tuesday until October 25th.  
Time:         6:30-7:30p
Where:      Wesley Chapel District Park Field TBD
Cost:            $75.00 (includes pinnie)
Each week will consist of instruction, followed by intramural scrimmage.
