How does it work?

Each WCAA Participant will be required to sell just three tickets at $10 per ticket which should be a pretty simple sale given the value of the Grand Prize. The cost of the tickets ($30) will be collected up front for each seller. Sellers will have the option of re-selling the tickets or keeping them.

How will the WCAA use the proceeds from this raffle?

Just as we have been doing since the inception of the WCAA, we are always looking for ways to keep our registration fees down. Since moving to the Wesley Chapel District Park we have seen our expenses grow each year as the county budgets for park maintenance continue to shrink. As a result of this, the WCAA is invests considerable funds to operate our programs for the community. Registration fees alone do not cover the costs to outfit each of the three concessions buildings, fields, press box down at the football fields and other operating costs.

Since moving to the park eight years ago, some of the amenities at the park now need major renovations and/or replacement. Other expenses include repairs and maintenance to the concessions equipment (grills, freezers, refrigerators, ice makers, etc) as well as to the various golf carts each sport uses, among other items.   We also purchase the seed for the fields to keep them green as well as the clay for the baseball and softball fields.  Our electric bill alone last year was more than $50,000! Public funds from the county do not fully cover these expenses.

Special Incentives to Top/Winning Ticket Seller(s)

With the high value of the Grand Prize being offered we know there will be individuals willing to sell more.  We will be tracking who sells the most tickets and an iPad Mini will be awarded to the person with the top number of tickets sold! In addition, the lucky individual that sells the winning ticket will receive a $100 Walmart gift card!
