* * * WCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2009-2010 * * *

ABOUT THE LEAGUE: The Windy City Men's Basketball League is the oldest and largest gay basketball league in the world. The 2009-10 season includes 19 teams and more than 160 players!

LEVEL OF COMPETITION: Everyone is welcome, regardless of basketball or athletic experience. The League has three divisions (Competitive, Intermediate and Recreational), so players of all skill, interest, and energy level have a place to play!

SCHEDULE: League play begins on January 9, 2010, and runs through early April. All League play takes place on Saturdays at Sullivan High School, with 10 weeks of regular season play and 1-2 weeks of playoffs. All games are free and open to the public; come be an athletic supporter!

DIRECTIONS: SULLIVAN HIGH SCHOOL – League games address: 6631 N. Bosworth – 2 blocks north of Devon and 2 blocks east of Clark. Parking: please use the parking lot on northeast corner of Albion and Bosworth or street parking. Entry: Entry: Use doors #8-9 on the north side of the parking lot. Go up the stairs; gyms are on 2nd floor. Public Transportation: Accessible via Red Line or Clark 22 or Broadway 36 buses.

Saturday, January 30, 7pm-9pm: Sidetrack. Free pizza at 8pm, compliments of Sidetrack!

Saturday, February 27, 8pm-10pm: Roscoe’s. $15 pitchers of Absolut Lemonade, $3.50 bottles of Peroni, $5 Bacardibombs

Saturday, March 20: Jackhammer. Come watch March Madness while we announce brackets for the playoffs!

Saturday, April 10: 3160. End of year party. Come pick up your trophies!

2009-2010 REGISTRATION

*Registration Fee: $100 – covers all expenses, including gym rental, jerseys, and referees.

*Registration Process: Competitive division teams are formed by confidential draft. All players interested in playing on a Competitive team are included in a draft pool. Intermediate and Recreational Division teams can be pre-formed, and players may determine a roster prior to registration. You do not need a team to play in Intermediate or Recreational; individual players or small group of friends with no team are blended with similar players to form additional teams.
